The couple from Pollachi Angalakurichi petitioned the Sub Collector to find their son who went missing eight year ago.
Coimbatore: Arjunan, from Angalakurichi near Pollachi, has a son and a daughter. His daughter got married 13 years ago.
Son Santosh Kumar enrolled for a B.Sc. programme from Coimbatore Government Arts College and studied biotechnology. He suddenly stopped going to college and according to reports Ganapathy from the Viduthalai Munnani, Selvaraj from Sultanpet, Coimbatore Ukkadam Parthiban and Dr. Dinesh, who belong to the movement banned by the Tamil Nadu government, often came to their house and talked about protesting against the Tamil Nadu government.
Of these, only Selvaraj and Ganapathy would often come home. This made the parents doubtful and later it came to light that his son was brainwashed by Ganapathy and Selvaraj and taken to the Armed Revolution. The couple said for the last eight years they have been suffering a lot due to the absence of their son Santosh Kumar. Therefore, they petitioned Sub-Collector Thackeray Subham Gnanadev Rao demanding that he should take appropriate action and rescue his son.
