Issaki Pandi 23 from Srivaikundam in Thoothukudi district, Vanupandi 20 from Melakkadupatti near Nellai and Isakkmuthu 21 from Chinna Mettupalayam Angammal Colony. Following an interrogation, the 3 were found to be involved in attacking the salesperson in Tasmac with weapons and for extorting money.
Coimbatore: Police have arrested three people for attacking a Tasmac dealer with a weapon near Coimbatore and attempting to extort money from the dealer.
Chidambaram, 44, from Pudukkottai district, was working as a salesman at the Tasmac store. He was returning to Chinna Mettupalayam near Chinnavedampatti on his scooter on the 13th after finishing work in Coimbatore and closing his shop. 3 persons who came on a motorcycle approached him and demanded money and threatened him. The 3 attacked him with weapons and fled. Saravanampatti police have registered a case and are investigating. Police immediately launched a search that way. Special team of police interrogated 3 people on suspicion.
