More than 100 country bulls participated in the Rekla Race held in Kinathukadavu, organised to celebrate DMK youth Wing Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin’s birthday.
Coimbatore: A Rekla race was held on behalf of DMK at Muthukoundanur inKinathukadavu, in which over 100 country breed bulls were used for the race.
200 and 300-meter races were held in which hundreds of native bulls from various parts of Coimbatore, Kinathukadavu, Pollachi, Tirupur, Udumalpet, Dharapuram and Kerala were brought in.
The public enjoyed watching the galloping bulls in the race. Half sovereign gold coin was awarded to the owners of the bulls securing first place and a quarter sovereign gold coin was awarded to those who finished second. Winners went home with trophies.
