The Pollachi All Women Police arrested an arms division police officer based in Chennai, for allegedly making viral personal photographs and threatening a woman who he was in a relationship with.
Pollachi: An arms division police officer was arrested for allegedly sharing intimate pictures of his ex-girlfriend after she called off the relationship and married another man.
Nesamani, a resident of Chennai is a Police Officer in the Arms Wing. Reportedly he developed a relationship with a girl from Pollachi through Facebook and the duo was dating for four years. However, the girl called off the relationship and married another man that upset Nesamani.
The woman victim, lodged a complaint at the Pollachi All Woman Police station after Nesamani made viral their private pictures and threatened her into continuing the relationship with him. A special team was sent to Chennai and the arms wing cop was arrested and brought to Pollachi.
He was booked under the Information Technology Act for sharing photographs and the Violence Against Women Act for threatening the woman. He was produced before the court. He was later lodged in Perundurai jail.
