Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister Senthil Balaji at the launch of Udayanidhi Stalin's birthday cricket match in Coimbatore said DMK will support sportspersons representing Coimbatore in sports contests.
Coimbatore: DMK Youth Secretary and Chepauk Assembly Member Udayanidhi Stalin's 44th birthday was celebrated in Peelamedu, Coimbatore. A cricket tournament was hosted by of the DMK, Coimbatore.
The contest in which 288 teams participated, was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Electricity, Prohibition and Excise Minister Senthil Balaji. Following this, he met reporters and said 'on the occasion of the birthday of DMK Youth Secretary Udayanidhi Stalin, a cricket tournament is held by Coimbatore District DMK.
288 teams participated in it.' He said the DMK will take care of the cost of travel of (sportspersons) school children and college goers representing the district in sports contests. He added that the DMK would accept the total cost if they received a letter of recommendation from the principal of the school or college.
