Seeman, Chief Coordinator of the Naam Tamilar Party in Tirupur said the transfer of the district collector who took action against those who occupied the elephant tracks in the Nilgiris district is condemnable.
Coimbatore: Martyrs Day celebrations were held in Tirupur today to mark Prabhakaran's 67th birthday. Seeman, the coordinator of the Naam Tamilar Party, addressed the gathering. Speaking to reporters, Seeman said it is an unforgettable day in the history of Tamil Eelam.
More than 80,000 heroes who laid down their lives for the liberation of Tamil Eelam were remembered. This day was celebrated the great uprising in Tirupur as a way of honouring the Tamil struggle, he said, 'As usual, we will stand alone in this local election. As far as the release of 7 people is concerned, the governor has put the respective files on hold.
Now everything is going according to the governor's order. The entrance exam is different, the qualifying exam is different, the extension should have been banned sometime, but there is no action other than the two states talking alternately. The DMK and the Congress are implementing what the BJP brought in like the NEET and GST schemes. So we have to fix all of this together. BJP withdrew the farm bills for the 5 state elections. We do not need this promise, we want the bill.'
He added, 'Disaster management and water management are no different in India. As a result of the elephants encroaching the tracks, 3 elephants died in a train collision in Coimbatore. If the elephant tracks were destroyed and the resort was built, today we would not have seen the death of the elephant. There will be no one to see us die tomorrow. The transfer of the district collector who took action against those who occupied the elephant tracks in the Nilgiris district is condemnable.'
