The City Police Commissioner Pradip Kumar met the officials from the city police department on Thursday and discussed about maintaining law and order in Coimbatore.

A meeting was held on 25th November, constituting all the Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners of Police, and Assistant Commissioner of Special Cell. The Commissioner insisted on impartial maintenance of law and order in the city.

He directed the officers to take rigid action against those disrupting law and order, such as the illegal sale of government banned products like drugs, lottery tickets, smuggling, gambling, involving in prostitution, and those involved in crimes against women and children.

The Commissioner stated to conduct awareness drives on crime against women and children, cybercrime, and trafficking and treat the public who lodge such complaints with dignity.
