Coimbatore: During the Corona virus pandemic, many students found it difficult to study online. In order to rectify this, video related lessons were aired on 'Kalvi TV' for government school students.
However, education is still not accessible to many students. With the help of volunteers, the Tamil Nadu Education Department introduced an education programme to go to the homes of students and find a suitable home to take tuition.
Although the project has been well received, there are various doubts among students and parents about its effectiveness. Therefore, on behalf of the Tamil Nadu School Education Department, it is planned to conduct awareness programmes in all the districts on the "Illam Thedi Kalvi" programme and awareness is being created accordingly.
As a part of it, District Collector GS Sameeran flagged off the awareness vehicles in Coimbatore district. The awareness tour, which will be held for about 30 days in each district, will feature 6 groups at various locations. In particular, there is a need to hold more awareness in rural areas. The District Collector congratulated the art group and the education department for embarking on this initiative and launched the awareness campaign. The event was attended by many, including Coimbatore District Education Department officials.
