The vehicles confiscated by the police department will be put out for auction on the 8th of December, an announcement from the District SP has stated.
Coimbatore:The confiscated vehicles in Coimbatore will be sold at an auction that is scheduled to be held on 8th of December, Wednesday.
As per District SP, Selvanagarathinam’s announcement,5 six-wheelers, 17 four-wheelers, 2 three-wheelers and 133 two-wheelers seized by Coimbatore District Police in Prohibition Offences will be put up for public auction at the District Armed Forces Ground, Avinashi Road, Coimbatore at 10.00 am on 8th December.
The vehicles to be auctioned are parked at the Office of Prohibition Enforcement at Pollachi Venkatesa Colony, Prohibition Enforcement Office at Kovilpalayam Devampalayam Balaji Nagar, Sulur, Madhukarai, K.K. Chavadi, Chettipalayam, Thondamuttur, Annur, Mettupalayam, Pollachi, Komangalam, Negamam and Valparai Police Stations.
The SP has stated that those willing to bid can visit the vehicles parked in the respective Prohibition Units and Police Stations till 05.00 pm on 07.12.2021. The District Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore has said that those who wish to purchase the vehicle (s) at the auction are required to pay the entire amount and the Goods and Services Tax (GST) should be paid to the government in cash on the same day after the auction.
