The Nilgiris: S P Amrith has been appointed as the new District Collector of Nilgiris on the Chief Secretary, V Irai Anbu's orders.
Keerthi Priyadarshini who held the post of District Collector (Additional Charge) of Nilgiris has been replaced by S P Amrith who previously served as the Joint Commissioner of Municipal Administration.
The Supreme Court had put a stay order on the transfer of Innocent Divya who was the District Collector of Nilgiris, with regard to the Elephant Corridor case. The Supreme Court has now lifted the ban and S P Amrith has been appointed as the new Collector of Nilgiris district.
