The residents of Varadharajapuram in Coimbatore staged a demonstration demanding action against the alleged encroachment of land belonging to the city corporation.
Coimbatore: People from the Varadarajapuram area are protesting against the alleged encroachment of 2 acres of land in the area. MP PR Natarajan joined the public in the protest.

Reportedly 2 acres of land is encroached by Zee Square Real Estate company near Varadarajapuram D-Mart in Coimbatore. The public protested stating the path is being blocked as a compound wall is being erected on the encroached land.

Coimbatore MP PR Natarajan took part in the protest in support of the public agitation.
The MP speaking at the protest stated that “By occupying lands in Kamaraj Nagar, the public is put through severe discomfort as the path is blocked, with the support of government officials. The public took on protest as no action has been taken so far despite their petition to the corporation. Locals came in support and participated in the protest.”

The MP requested that the survey is conducted in Neelikonampalayam on the reported encroachment and construction of a compound wall. He further added that narrowing the roads in the name of reformation has to be stopped.
