The owner of the car that was reportedly used in the murder of a Kerala-based RSS volunteer is interrogated in Salem after the vehicle was found in Pollachi.
Pollachi: The Kerala Police are interrogating the owner of the vehicle used in Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteer S. Sanjit’s murder after the car that was reportedly used in the murder was discovered in Pollachi.
Sanjit served as an RSS volunteer from Palakkad, Kerala. Unidentified persons hacked Sanjit to death on the 15th of November this year, while he was riding on a bike with his wife in the Palakkad area. Two persons were arrested while the Kerala police were investigating the murder, based on a complaint filed by Sanjit's wife. Investigations revealed that a Maruti 800 was used in the brutal daylight murder of the RSS volunteer.
In a twist in the tale, the Maruti 800 car used in the murder was discovered in Pollachi. Reportedly, the vehicle was sold to Muruganantham in the Pollachi Kunjipalayam area.
Police led by ADSP Biji Bhaskar interrogated Muruganantham and revealed that the parts of the car were separated and the engine number was taken away by the miscreants who are believed to be involved in the murder.
Kerala police have taken Muruganantham to Salem and are investigating.
