The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister who was on a two-day tour to Coimbatore met the Islamic Federation in the city and listened to their queries.
Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and Coimbatore Islamic Federation met here on Tuesday.
The TN Chief Minister MK Stalin who is on a two day tour to Coimbatore, met the Officials of The Islamic Federation of Coimbatore in person and sought all the demands on the release of the prisoners.
The coordinators of the three federations Haji Inayatullah, MJK Sultan Amir and TMMK Sadik Ali, met the CM in person and the coordinators demanded that the GO of Tamil Nadu on the release of Islamic prisoners and the GO has to be reconstituted based on release of the Islamic prisoners. The Chief Minister assured that the demand will be looked into immediately.
The Islamic coordinators expressed gratitude over Chief Minister’s gesture to meet them and listen to their demands. They thanked Electricity Minister Senthil Balaji for making arrangements for the meeting, as the federation executives attempted multiple times before to meet the CM.
The meeting which was scheduled to take place on Monday night, was rescheduled to Tuesday morning, as the Chief Minister was unable to meet them due to his travel issues. The Islamic Federation coordinators met the Chief Minister at his quarters in Coimbatore on Tuesday morning.
