The CITI, SIMA, OSMA members met the TN Chief Minister in Coimbatore on Tuesday and expressed their gratitude over the abolition of the 1 percent Market Committee fee imposed on cotton and waste cotton.
Coimbatore: The textile industry fraternity met the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M K Stalin and felicitated him, while also thanking him for the abolition of the Market Committee fee on cotton and waste cotton. The 1 percent Market Committee fee on cotton and waste cotton had distressed the textile industry and multiple demands were made for the past 62 years with no action taken.
The present Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M K Stalin announced that the 1 percent Market Committee fee would be banned hereon which made the industry rejoice.
Rajkumar, President, Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), Ravi Sam, President, South Indian Mills Association (SIMA), Administrator of Tamil Nadu Open End Spinning Mills Association (OSMA) and executives of the textile industry organizations including Arulmozhi, met the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M K Stalin to felicitate him with a memento on behalf of the Textile Department of Tamil Nadu to express their gratitude.
