Chief Minister lauds Sulur Inspector

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Stalin, who is on a state visit to Coimbatore, personally called the Sulur Police Inspector Madhayyan and expressed his appreciation. The Sulur Police Inspector was also given a congratulatory letter.


Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin has personally congratulated Sulur Police Inspector Madhayyan for chasing down a bike thief a few days ago.

The last few days 2 men were standing in the Sulur area suspiciously and when interrogated they responded contradictorily. Then one of them beat up the police inspector Madhayyan and fled from there. Sulur police inspector Madhayan chased the fugitive for about 3 km away and arrested him.

CCTV footage of the incident caused a stir. Many members of the public also praised Sulur inspector Madhayyan on social media. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin, who visited Coimbatore, personally called the Sulur Police Inspector Madhayyan and expressed his appreciation. The Sulur Police Inspector was also given a congratulatory letter. The letter said the primary task of the police is to suppress the influx of criminals who challenge law and order and to ensure a peaceful living environment for the public.

The CM in the letter conveyed that uniformed personnel who perform such work effectively are regarded as true heroes of the people. Recalling the incident, the CM stated that the Coimbatore Sulur police station inspector and his police station patrolled the Nilambur area at around 3 in the morning. At that point, the guards chased the miscreants for about a kilometre and caught one of them.

It is reported that during the intensive investigation Madhayyan identified another person, arrested both of them and confiscated the stolen motorcycles that were in their possession. The police official is appreciated for fighting fearlessly without fearing for his life and putting service above self. His act of courage has won him a place in the minds of the people. The letter also said that honesty in the police force is a source of pride for all brave people.
