The elephants continued to ravage houses in Chukkadi, Moochikandi and Sundavayal even after they were chased away a week ago. Residents demand that the particular elephant that is attacking the houses should be caught and kept in the Mudumalai sanctuary before any casualties occur.
The Nilgiris: The elephant reportedly attacked the house of Murugadoss in the Vedanvayal area of Gudalur.
Casualties were avoided as everyone in the house moved into another room. It is to be noted that the Kumki elephant was brought to the Selukkadi area by Vedanval last night.
