The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister visited Tirupur on Monday, and inaugurated project works worth ₹.84.24 crores, including new ventures, welfare assistance and completed projects.
Tirupur: The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin laid the foundation stones for new projects in Tirupur.
The Chief Minister, MK Stalin arrived at Tirupur on Monday and attended the event organized at the Chikkanna Government Arts College in the city. He distributed welfare assistance to the beneficiaries, inaugurated the completed projects, and laid foundations for the new projects. The Chief Minister subsequently held talks with the knitwear industry in Tirupur.
Twenty completed projects at an estimated cost of ₹.28.17 were inaugurated followed by which he laid the foundation stone for 2 new ventures at an estimate cost of ₹. 41.24 lakhs. About ₹.55.65 crore rupees worth welfare assistance were distributed to as many as 4,335 beneficiaries in the event.
The total value of these works is 84.24 crores. Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister expressed his joy in visiting the city where Anna and Periyar met for the first time. Stating that politics has to be discussed on a different platform, the Chief Minister ensured that the DMK party will work for the betterment of the state and the Tamil Community.
Bringing to light that the women self-help groups have been spoilt in the last 10 years, the Chief Minister stated the condition has now changed in his 6-month regime, and much more will be done in the party’s years to come. The Chief Minister said that he would be proud in bringing the recognition to Tamil Nadu as the best state, rather than being called the best Chief Minister.
