Coimbatore: Wild elephants roamed in the residential areas near Thudiyalur at night and the people of the vicinity are terrified because of the movement of the tuskers in residencial area.
Along the Western Ghats in the Coimbatore suburbs, the movement of wild elephants is on the rise.
Two elephants roamed the area at around 3:00 am yesterday in Palanigavundanpudur, Ramakrishna Nagar, Netaji Nagar and Gautam Nagar areas under Gurudampalayam panchayat near Thudiyalur.

The people of the area say, 'Wild elephants come through the gap here and enter the residential area at the top. To prevent the movement of wild elephants, the forest department must take decisive action. Anti-poaching guards should be fully deployed".
