A 53-year-old man was arrested by the rural police and charged under POCSO Act who misbehaved with a minor girl under false pretences.
Coimbatore: A man in his early fifties was arrested and charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act for allegedly subjecting a minor girl to sexual assault.
Zakir Hussain, (53), of Coimbatore lured children who were playing near his house stating he would buy ice creams and harassed a girl sexually taking her to a lonely place. He later left the girl at her house. A man in the same area videotaped the incident and showed that to the girl’s parents.
Shocked by the incident, the girl’s parents lodged a complaint at the Saravanampatti police. Investigations revealed that Zakir Hussain harassed the child. The case was transferred to the East All Women Police station and he was arrested under the POCSO act
