Acting on the tip-off regarding the illegal sale of weed and sedative pills, the city police have held one person in connection with the case.
Coimbatore: A 33-year-old male youth was arrested in Coimbatore who sold weed and sedative pills.
Police received a tip-off that ganja and narcotic pills were being hoarded and sold near the public toilet in the Ayyasamy Road in Big Bazaar Street. Following this, police led by Sub Inspector Annadurai rushed to the spot and arrested Abdul Razak, (33), of Vellore. They seized 150 grams of weed and 45 sedative pills.
Abdul Razak was later produced before the court and imprisoned.
