The AIADMK leadership has announced that the AIADMK executive involved in the chain robbery in Pollachi and his father, who was involved in defaming the party, have been expelled from the AIADMK.
Coimbatore: The AIADMK leadership has announced that the AIADMK executive involved in the chain robbery in Pollachi and his father have been sacked for defaming the party.
Vijayalakshmi (71) is from Pollachi Karikalaamman Road. She was standing near her house on November 2 last year. A couple came that way, and pretended to ask for an address there snatched the gold chain from an elderly woman and fled. The East police registered a case and began investigating the chain snatching crime. During the investigation, it was revealed that the two were Ajay and his wife Sruthi from Nachimuthu Gounder Road, Pollachi.
Following this, the police registered a case against the two and arrested them and remanded them in custody.
Ajay, who was arrested, was in charge of AIADMK 5th Ward Information Technology Division. As it was revealed that his father Dhandapani was the AIADMK MGR Peravai Joint Secretary. Today Pollachi City MGR Council Joint Secretary Dhandapani and Pollachi City 5th Ward Information Technology Officer Ajay were removed from all party responsibilities and basic membership post for violating party control rules and tarnishing the party's name.
AIADMK co-ordinator O Panneerselvam and co-coordinator Edappadi Palanisamy have announced that the two will be removed.
