Coimbatore: CBCID police are investigating the whereabouts of Angoda Lokka's secret diary and pistol. Sri Lanka's notorious don Angoda Lokka mysteriously died in Coimbatore last year. Police arrested 3 people including his girlfriend Amani Tanji in this connection.
At this point, Angoda Lokka's ally Sanuka Tananayaka (38) from Sri Lanka came to Coimbatore and met Angoda Lokka's girlfriend Amani Tanji. He then allegedly intimidated Amani Tanji and took away a secret diary related to drug trafficking and a pistol used by Angoda Lokka. Meanwhile, CBCID police last week arrested Sanuka Tananayake and her accomplice Gopal Krishnan, (46), who were hiding in Bengaluru. Following this, the CBCID police filed a petition in the Coimbatore District Criminal Court seeking permission to detain and interrogate the two.
The judge, who heard the case, remanded them in custody for five days and ordered their interrogation. Following this, the CBCID police have arrested Sanuka Tananayake and Gopalakrishnan, who were lodged in the Perundurai branch jail in Erode district, and are conducting an investigation.
