Coimbatore: In Coimbatore, soil testing work has started for the implementation of the Metro Rail project.
Although high bridges are being built on the main roads of Coimbatore, the infrastructure is not adequate to cope with the increase in traffic. As the city grows rapidly and its population grows, so does the need to develop public transportation habits.
Therefore, despite the construction of bridges on all major roads, the Government of Tamil Nadu is taking the initiative to implement the Metro Rail project in Coimbatore as in Chennai. Last September a geological survey was carried out in connection with the Metro rail routes. Currently, soil testing is underway in Gandhipuram.
