Coimbatore Anti-Corruption Police have registered a case against a former DMK minister for amassing assets worth Rs.44 lakh in excess of his income. The case is being heard in the Coimbatore District Sessions Court.
Coimbatore: Former minister Palanisamy has appeared in a Coimbatore court in connection with a case of amassing wealth. During the DMK rule, Pongalur Palanisamy was the Minister from 2006-2011.

After being questioned by prosecution and opposition witnesses, the officer who registered the case, the then ADSP Shanmugapriya, appeared in court to testify. Following the hearing of the case yesterday, Pongalur Palanisamy appeared in court. Subsequently, the case was adjourned to the 17th for cross-examination of Shanmuga Priya.
