After 351 days, the Prime Minister of India today issued a statement calling off the farmers' strike. It was announced the 3 agricultural laws are being withdrawn. It was conveyed, "we are open-minded and apologize for passing the law. Weconsider it a great victory for the struggle of the farmers.'

It is only today that the Prime Minister has reached the point where he has said that the struggle will continue. He said, "We consider those who are still alive in the battlefield as our commanders and pay homage to them. This Veeravankam is a great victory for the farmers."
He added, "We consider the announcement of the formation of a committee of farmers, legal experts and scientists and the implementation of agricultural laws and schemes to be a great success for the farmers. We request that a memorial be erected for the farmers who lost their lives."
