Coimbatore: The students of Coimbatore College of Arts met the Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran and handed over screenshots of a professor from their college who interacted with them on WhatsApp loaded with double meanings during the conversation. They also stated that they would protest if stern action was not taken against the professor.
The Government Arts College students have lodged a sexual harassment complaint against the professor for his sexual innuendos while conversing with them on WhatsApp. The students alleged that the Government Arts College principal had not taken any action against the professor in spite of the students complaining last Saturday with screenshots of the offensive WhatsApp chats.
The Indian Students' Union has warned that they would join the protest along with the Government Arts College students if appropriate action is not taken against the professor by the District administration.
