Homes of 31 people from Delhi, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu were raided by CBI with relation to a 'WhatsApp Group' that had been formed to share pornographic images, links and videos.

In this connection, a complaint was lodged with the Special Investigation Division of the Central Intelligence Agency in Delhi. Following this, the CBI conducted raids on the homes of 31 persons across the country, on Wednesday.
Four policemen, led by CBI Inspector Ponmanikkavel raided the house of Adityan (22) in Periyanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore from 8 am to 8 pm. He has been charged under Section 67B of the Information Technology Act and Section 120B (Conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code. The mobile phone that Adityan had been using was confiscated.
