Tirupur: Residents of the Anupparpalayam area in Tirupur laid siege to the Zonal office on Tuesday and submitted a petition demanding basic amenities.
Over 1000 residents from Balan Nagar area which comes under the second Zone in Tirupur Corporation's Anupparpalayam demanded basic amenities like proper roads and street lights in the area. They lamented that despite repeated complaints to authorities, no action has been taken till date. A 30 ft. deep water reservoir stream in the area reportedly poses a threat to school children and motorists. Hence, the residents laid siege to the Zonal office and submitted a petition on behalf of the People Protection Organisation demanding immediate action to avoid any loss of life.
