The Coimbatore South MLA, Vanathi Srinivasan, of the BJP has requested the highest relief assistance and a new house for the family in Coimbatore who lost their house and toddler son as their house collapsed due to heavy rains.
Coimbatore: MLA Vanathi Srinivasan submitted a petition to the District Collector seeking assistance and a new house for a family in Coimbatore.
Nagendran and Priya, and their two-and-a-half-year-old infant, Kiran are residents of ward 84 in Kempatty Colony, behind the Salt Mandi in South Assembly constituency in Coimbatore. The family was injured as the wall collapsed in the rain on the night of the 13th. All three were admitted to the Government Hospital (GH) for treatment.
In an unfortunate incident, Nagendran’s toddler son succumbed to his injuries on Monday. The Coimbatore South MLA, Vanathi Srinivasan submitted a petition to the District Collector.
She stated in her petition that she was shocked and saddened about the unfortunate house collapse accident and the death of baby Kiran. Expressing her deepest condolences to the bereaved family, the BJP Women wing State President demanded that the affected family should be documented for immediate payment of maximum relief by the Government of Tamil Nadu and allotted a house through the slum clearance board.
