The local police who were on patrol duty have arrested two people on charges of consuming alcohol in public.
Coimbatore: The Kinathukadavu police held two men last night here for consuming alcohol in public.
Kinathukadavu Sub-Inspector Arulprakash was patrolling the Kinathukadavu new bus stand region last night while he caught two men drinking at a public place near the theatre opposite the bus stand.
The two were immediately held and booked for the misdemeanor. The accused have been identified as Subramaniam and Kumar of the Thamaraikulam region. The police are interrogating the duo.
