Coimbatore: In all the regions of Coimbatore district, through the Tamil Nadu Department of Agriculture and Agrarian Welfare, a new agroforestry project called 'Movement for Sustainable Green Blanket in Tamil Nadu Agricultural Lands' is being implemented.
Under this scheme, saplings will be provided to farmers and tree based farming will be promoted.

Farmers can register at the nearest Agricultural Extension Center to get the saplings and acquire the required saplings free of cost from the nursery of the nearest forest department as per the recommendation of the Department of Agriculture.
