The camps were conducted at over 3,000 polling stations set up in 10 assembly constituencies in Coimbatore.
5,212 candidates have applied for inclusion in the voters' list in Kavundampalayam, and almost 1,396 candidates have applied in Coimbatore South. The forms received in each assembly's special camp will be sent to polling officers for verification, will be verified and then names will be added, deleted or necessary amendments will be made to the voters' list.
Officials announced that the next phase of these special camps will be held on the November 27 and 28 in the city.
