A speeding government bus ran into a sewage canal as it lost control on Coimbatore-Cochin bypass road
Coimbatore: A government bus got trapped in a sewage channel near Coimbatore. Fortunately, no passenger was injured in the mishap.
The Kerala-Coimbatore government bus which was approaching the Marappalam in Thiruvananthapuram District on Coimbatore-Cochin bypass suddenly swerved due to high speed and was trapped in the sewage channel on the side of the road, due to rain. The front wheel of the bus ran into the channel causing stirs.
The locals state that the channels were closed with mud due to rain and the pipeline laying work is carried out in the area. No passenger in the bus was injured in the mishap.
