The district corporation Commissioner has confirmed that two members have tested positive for Swine flu Coimbatore after incessant rains.

Corporation Commissioner Raja Gopal Sunkara has stated that two people in Coimbatore are being treated in a private hospital for swine flu. Incessant rains in Coimbatore have spiked the chances of the public acquiring water borne diseases.
Around 64 medical camps have been set up across Coimbatore and the public is being screened free of cost. It has been advised that the public should wear masks and sanitize if they step out of their houses. The Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner has urged the public to visit hospitals and PHC in case they are down with fever. He has also directed that the public should ensure that there is no water logging in their vicinity.
