Issues in repayment of loan borrowed, man kidnapped by money lenders; A grieving mother petitions police seeking action.
Coimbatore: A 30-year-old man has been kidnapped by his money lenders over issues in loan repayment after which, the man’s mother petitioned the police seeking action.
Sivagami, (52), wife of Shanmugam from Sampath Road near Rathinapuri in Coimbatore, filed a complaint with the Rathinapuri police in Coimbatore on Monday seeking action against those who kidnapped her son over issues of repayment of loan.
In her petition, Sivagami stated that, Gopinath,(30), her son borrowed ₹. 2 lakh from Prakash, (31) and Saravanan, (24) from Arani in Tiruvannamalai district for business purposes. He has repaid a sum of ₹.1 lakh 10,000. But Prakash and Saravanan have been harassing Gopinath stating he had only paid the interest and not the loan amount and demanded the amount of ₹. 2 lakhs is paid.
To their shock, two days back, Saravanan and Prakash ambushed inside Gopinath's house and forcefully took him with them. The mother of the kidnapped son requested immediate action against those who have kidnapped Gopinath and requested that he is rescue at the earliest.
The Rathinapuri police have registered a case and are looking for Prakash and Saravanan.
