Last night, a fair price shop in the Valparai Shekalmudi estate area was broken into and damaged. Foresters chased away seven wild elephants that were camping in the area. People are scared of elephant attacks. Manampalli Wildlife Sanctuary led by Manikandan inspected the forest and the forest department are engaged in the work to prevent the elephants from entering the residential areas at night.
