The Salem Railway Divisional Administration has announced that the first train between Coimbatore and Pollachi will be operational from today. The Coimbatore-Podanur-Pollachi railway line was commissioned last month after electrification work on the Coimbatore-Podanur-Pollachi railway line was completed.
The Salem Railway Divisional Administration has announced that the first train service from Coimbatore to Pollachi via Podanur and Kinathukadavu will be operated from today.
The Coimbatore-Pollachi Express will leave Coimbatore at 6.15 pm today and reach Pollachi at 7.45 pm.
In the return direction, the express train will leave Pollachi at 7.25 am the following day and will reach Coimbatore at 8.40 am. The train will not run on Sundays. The public is happy that the train service between Coimbatore and Pollachi has started after 17 months.
