During the interaction, the minister said, 'on the instructions of the Chief Minister, we met the parents of the deceased student in person and expressed our condolences.'
The minister who was emotional also conveyed 'regardless of whether this is a situation that happened to an individual woman or not, I can feel the pain as if this would be the case for my own girl child. Parents have said action should be taken against the school principal as well.'
The minister added that 'action will be taken in this case without prejudice. Awareness is what everyone needs and private school students need it the most. Appropriate activities are underway to ensure that a repeat of the incident does not happen.'
The minister assured that action will be taken within twenty-four hours of this incident. He said an investigation into the letter that the girl left in the home is ongoing.
