Dravida Tamilar party members submitted a petition to the District Collector of Coimbatore seeking heavy punishment to the teacher involved in the sexual harassment of the schoolgirl who committed suicide on Thursday
Coimbatore: The Dravida Tamilar Party members sought stringent action on the school teacher and principal in Coimbatore for sexually harassing and leading a school girl to suicide.
The members of the Dravida Tamilar Katchi submitted a petition to the District Collector Sameeran on Saturday. They demanded that Mithun Chakravarthi, the physics teacher, from R.S.Puram Chinmaya Vidyalaya who sexually harassed a student and led her to suicide must be punished.
In the petition, they stated that anybody who was responsible for the incident and a thorough inquiry had to be conducted to understand if other students were also victimized.
