Coimbatore MP PR Natarajan lauding the efforts of the Deputy Commissioner in investigating the suicide case, called for the ministers to assist the family fight for justice
Coimbatore:MP PR Natarajan addressed the press here on the suicide of a school girl due to sexual assault.
The Coimbatore MP PR Natarajan appreciated the investigations of Deputy Commissioner Jayachandran in connection with the death of a schoolgirl in Coimbatore. The main accused, Mithun was booked under POCSO for harassing a schoolgirl. He urged strict action against the school principal for allegedly neglecting the incident and terming it as ‘something happening in a bus’.
The MP quoted Deputy Commissioner's statement that the student was subjected to counseling post-school and was particularly mentioned to not inform her parents.
He called for the District Collector of Coimbatore to hold talks with the agitators and students. He said all ministers should come in person and take steps to get appropriate assistance MP said that it is parents' call to receive the girl’s corpse. Highlighting the DC’s thorough and proper investigation in the case, he stated that the struggle will continue until a solution is achieved and action must be taken on all those involved.
He urged that the school principal Meera Jackson has to be arrested.
