Petrol bunk owner booked for employing child laborers near Kinathukadavu

Case registered against petrol bunk owner for employing child laborers in petrol bunk near Kinathukadavu.


Coimbatore: On August 19, the project manager for the elimination of child labor in Coimbatore, PG Alex, worked with district enforcement agencies in the Kinathukadavu area to monitor whether child labourers were employed in shops and petrol stations in the Kinathukadavu area.

The team was monitoring Kinathukkadavu, Thamaraikulam and Kovilpalayam areas and found two child labourers employed at a petrol station in the Kallangattuputhur area near Kinathukkadavu.

As a result, the National Child Labor Eradication Project Manager, PG Alex, lodged a complaint to the Kinathukadavu police against Venkatachalam, the owner of a petrol bunk in Kallangattuputhur, for hiring two minors. Kinathukadavu police have registered a case and are investigating.
