Deputy Commissioner of the Corporation M. Sharmila personally inspected the ballot held in the presence of the representatives of the recognized political party.
Coimbatore: Sample voting performed using the voting machines that will be used for urban local elections in Coimbatore at the Coimbatore Corporation Uppilipalayam Passport Registration Office premises in the presence of authorized political party personalities.
The experiment was performed on the voting machines (EVM, Ballot Unit & Control Unit) that will be used for the Municipalities and Municipalities in the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation, Coimbatore District.

Deputy Commissioner of the Corporation M. Sharmila visited the facility on Friday and made the request. A total number of 6,618 ballot machines that will be used by the Coimbatore Corporation, Municipalities, Panchayats and Town Panchayat (EVM, Ballot Unit & Control Unit) were examined in the presence of authorized political party personalities at the Coimbatore Corporation Uppilipalayam Passport Registration Office premises Control.
Of them, 5 percent were taken by sample voting machines. 10 BELL company engineers participated in the event and tested the voting machine. The event was attended by Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Senthilkumar Rathinam, Interview Assistant to the District Collector (Rural Local Government Election) V. Santhanam, Corporation Officers and staff were also present.
