Coimbatore: Pollachi MP Shanmugasundaram reviewed the construction of the refinery constructed at Pollachi. The underground sewerage project in Pollachi Municipality was commenced in 2016 at a cost of ₹.109 crores and the construction of a 1.2 crore litre sewage treatment plant at Sandhaipettai is underway.

'The improper and confused planning for the project during the last regime was the reason for the delay in the completion of the project that commenced way back in 2016. The project estimate has also gone up to ₹.170 crore from 109 crores. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu will bring in a solution to the issue by ensuring the construction of the sewage treatment plant is completed for public use, within two months,' assured MP Shanmugasundaram.
Dr. Varadarajan, in charge of DMK Coimbatore South district and Thendral Selvaraj, former District in-charge were present during the review of the construction.
