Coimbatore Police arrested four youth who were involved in a series of motorcycle thefts in the city and confiscated six vehicles thus far during the probe.
Coimbatore: The Coimbatore police arrested four youth upon suspicion and discovered that they were involved in a series of two-wheeler thefts in the city. A CCTV footage captured the four men stealing two-wheelers.
The city police had intensely probed the series of two-wheeler thefts that had been reported in the city's Sulur area. Police were patrolling Neelambur, Singanallur, Sindhamanipudur Junction, Kinathukadavu and Bazaar Street areas. Four youth were held under suspicion and taken to the Sulur police station for further investigation.
During the investigation, it was found that the four youth Murali, Shah Rukh Khan, Yasser Musabad and Rasool from Podanur were involved specifically in two-wheeler thefts. Over 100 two-wheelers had been stolen thus far and were sold as separate parts.
The police are in the process of tracing the stolen vehicles and the involvement of any more suspects in the case. Six two-wheelers have been seized from the four men, thus far.
