Over 1000 policemen reside at the PRS police quarters in Coimbatore. Ironically, adjacent houses in the police quarters were robbed on Tuesday night.
Armed Forces Officer, Ramesh found his house broken into and a laptop and power bank missing from his house. Similarly, while an Armed Forces Constable, Rajan was away with his family, 32 sovereign jewels and Rs. 90,000 in cash were stolen from his house. The Race Course Police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, the CCTV footage captured in the area shows an anonymous person entering the police quarters via Pappanaickenpalayam and passing through the Police Hospital. The police are investigating the footage and speculate that the man who had robbed Rs 42,000 last month from the PRS Police Quarters might have been involved in this burglary as well.
