The induction program held at the SNS College of Technology and SNS Engineering College in Coimbatore was graced by the AICTE Chief Coordinator.
Coimbatore: “The need for cybersecurity engineers have increased as cyber security has become essential in the digital world,” stated Dr. Buddha Chandrasekhar, the AICTE Chief Coordinator during the joint induction program held for fifirst year engineering students at the SNS College of Technology and SNS Engineering College for students enrolled in BE and B.Tech courses.
Along with the AICTE Chief Coordinator, Maya Srikumar, Vice President, Human Resources, Cognizant and Indian Formula 1 racer Chetan Korada were among the special guests. Dr. S SenthurPandian, Principal, SNS College of Technology welcomed the gathering.This was followed by a speech by the SNS Education Boards Chairman, S M Subramanian.
Addressing the gathering, the AICTE Chief Coordinator, Dr. Buddha Chandrasekhar who was the Chief Guest stated that the number of students studying engineering in the country had now increased. "Large amounts of funds have been allocated by the education sector for engineering and technical courses, to enhance the skills of the students encouraging them in developing various new technologies. There is a need for cyber security in the digital world as the world runs on a digital platform, especially digital banking and various service services which in turn has increased the demand for cyber security engineers.
Hence, students should become multi-skilled by developing themselves personally, individually and developing their leadership qualities, apart from gaining bookish knowledge," advised the AICTE Chief Coordinator.
The induction program was attended by college professors, first year students and parents.
