The Chettipalayam police stopped and seized a truck during a vehicle check for carrying gravel without proper permission and documentation.
Coimbatore:A truck which was smuggling gravel was seized by police in Chettipalayam region in Coimbatore.
Sub-Inspector, Sambandham along with constables Rajasekhar (PC 960) and Karthik (PC 976) of Chettipalayam police station were conducting a vehicle search within the Chettipalayam police limits. They stopped a truck that was carrying gravel and found that there was no proper documentation. The driver, Vijay was taken to the police station and booked for smuggling gravel.
The Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police, S Selvanagarathinam has warned of strict action against those involved in such illegal activities.
