A centering worker accidentally fell from the building at his construction site in Alanthurai and succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
Coimbatore:A construction worker accidentally fell from the building while working and died despite immediate medical treatment administered, on Sunday.
Babu (34), a centering worker from Pattammal Kovil Street in Alanthurai Karimangalam next to Coimbatore was working on the construction of a new building at Veerapandi Road in Chinna Thadagam on Sunday. Babu fell suddenly from the first floor of the building he was working at and suffered severe head injuries.
Other workers in the site rescued him and admitted him to a nearby private hospital. He was then shifted to the Government Hospital for further treatment but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The Alanthurai police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.
