The Coimbatore Railway Police located four school students from Kerala at the city railway station who had been reported as missing with jewels and cash, and handed them back to their parents.
Coimbatore:The Coimbatore Railway Police managed to locate four school students from Kerala who had been reported missing along with cash and jewels.
The students were spotted at the Coimbatore railway station and picked up by the Railway Police.
15-year old twin girls from Palakkad in Kerala and two 15-year old boys had reportedly vanished with ₹.9,000 in cash and gold jewellery. The girls’ parents had lodged a complaint with the Alandur Kerala Police stating that the twins were missing. The police registered a case and carried out investigations.
The Coimbatore Railway Police on duty at the Podanur railway station found the four students on Monday evening and interrogated them. It was discovered that all four students had left their homes on November 3 and were trying to travel to Chennai from Coimbatore after visiting Pollachi and Ooty. The Railway Police then contacted the parents of the four students and handed them over to them.
