A group of people in Tirupur who had loaned money and been defrauded urged the SP of Tirupur to take immediate action to help them recover their money from the family of fraudsters.
Tirupur: Victims who had loaned money petitioned the District Superintendent of Police, G Shashank Sai to take swift action against a family that defrauded them of crores of money on the pretext of taking loans for expanding their business. They requested the SP to help them recover their money.

A petition was submitted at the SP's office in Tirupur on Monday urging swift action against members of a family who cheated various people of almost 3.63 crores under the false pretence of starting a business.
Rakammal, a native of Palladam along with her husband Kasinathan and relatives Lokesh Kumar and Sakthivel, run various businesses including real estate, buying and selling loom machines and also engage in chit fund auctions in Palladam. The four family members reportedly defrauded ₹ 3.63 crores from a few people who had loaned them money, because they had stated that they were expanding the business but did not repay.
The District Superintendent of Police who arrived at the SP office received their petition in person and assured that an investigation and appropriate action would be taken with regard to the petition.
